We're a tight knit team dedicated to making sure that dental manufacturing and its supply chain operate efficiently and securely in the digital world. We combine cloud services, enterprise architecture and event-driven systems to manage over 50 million orders a year across the globe.

As a Junior Product Owner at Labtrac, you will play a pivotal role in the development and management of products, ensuring that our team delivers value to customers and aligns with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Software Architect, Product Manager and other Product Owners to define, prioritize, and manage features, maintain the product backlog, and facilitate effective communication across cross-functional teams. This role involves working in an Agile environment and partnering with teams across various administrative and functional areas of the company.

This is a hybrid position working in our Altrincham office.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Understanding Software Details: Gain a deep understanding of the intricacies of our software to make informed decisions and provide expert guidance.
  • Commercial Acumen: Showcase your expertise in the commercial aspects of software development, leveraging your proven experience to make strategic decisions.
  • Client Interaction: Establish and nurture strong client relationships by meeting, communicating, and managing expectations and project timelines.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyse customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and prioritize enhancements.
  • Documentation: Create technical documentation for new functionalities, contributing to our comprehensive MCS Knowledgebase.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with our projects team, effectively communicating project plans for the implementation of new functionalities.
  • Development Roadmap: Assist in the planning, definition, and grooming of the development roadmap, both at a macro and micro level, to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Development Manager to realize goals and initiatives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance development environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain close alignment with the Quality Assurance team, ensuring that priority development aligns with quality standards and client needs.
  • Product Demonstrations: Showcase new functionalities to both internal and external stakeholders through engaging and informative product demos.
Requirements
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to grasp complex software details.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, development teams, and stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to make data-driven decisions to enhance product profitability.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, business, or design).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes.
  • Working experience of dental laboratory processes would be an advantage
